If you're like most people, the first thing you'll want to know is if we can handle the project you need completed.  The second thing you'll want to know is how much it's going to cost you.

While we wish each job could be a standard price, that's just not how it works when it comes to floors.  There are so many different variables that come in to play, such as the size of the floor, the age of the floor, the type of wood, the actual work needed to be done...making every single job slightly different.  We will schedule a time to visit your home or business to assess the area and determine a specific price for the job.

Installing Hardwood Floors
An installation project depends on several factors, such as whether furniture has to be moved, subfloor repairs, and removal of the old flooring.  The main cost you will incur is the flooring materials.  We will be able to guide you in purchasing the materials depending on your budget and taste.  The average labor cost for a basic installation job is $2.50 per square foot.

Refinishing Hardwood Floors
There are many contractors who will try to save some time by using heavier sandpaper than they should to sand down through the finish.  During this process, they end up sanding the floor down too much, leaving it very thin and more susceptible to future damage. 

At Hoover Hardwood Flooring Services, we sand and refinish floors the correct way.  The average price of a refinishing job is $4 per square foot, which includes all materials, new shoe mold, and a polyurethane sealant.  Upgrades are available, so be sure to ask during your initial meeting with our staff.
